Fine Art and Digital Art
I'm a self-taught multi-media artist who loves to create from the heart. I love to try new things and experiment with techniques as I capture a special moment, experience, or emotion through my creative work.My main goal with my art is to use the creative process as an opportunity to explore the present moment, myself, and our world in curious ways. I'm love being detail-oriented but also enjoy experimenting with innovative and inventive strategies to fulfill my creative visions. I've been inspired to invest more than 200 hours in some of my projects, while other times I enjoy the challenge of completing a piece quickly while focusing on conveying a more emotional and expressive result. My style ranges from hyperrealism to abstract and I enjoy using many different art mediums, including acrylic, water-based oil, watercolor, gouache, pencil, ink, oil pastels, clay, and digital art programs such as Procreate and Photoshop. I love capturing the special moments of wonder, magic, and beauty with my camera! I love to see what unexpected beauty I can discover in my local area, on my travels, and during spontaneous photoshoots. I enjoy photographing nature, animals, people, landscapes, and capturing abstract shots. I also love organizing and participating creative concept shoots to help me express my personal creative visions. These artsy photoshoots are an opportunity for me to bring my imagination to life and I usually am amazed at how my ideas manifest through photo art. I like to participate enthuse performance art series through directing the photoshoot, taking the pictures, and even modeling for the photoshoot myself. Writing and Book Publishing
I'm currently focused on writing, editing, and publishing a series of poetry books. My short-term goal is to publish a text-only version featuring my favorite poetry pieces as I work on my long-term goal of producing an illustrated artist-edition poetry book that will have fine art illustrations, creative photography, and other artful embellishments to compliment my written poetry. My poetry themes currently focus on presence, nature, relationships, and emotional pieces. If you're interested in having early access to my poetry work, you can view my pieces before they're published by becoming a Patron on Patreon. You'll be able to view the first rendering of each piece before I make any changes, see my process in refining them to the final versions, and some pieces will remain exclusive to Patreon forever and won't be shared elsewhere. The Mindful Companion Website
I created this free online resource to help anyone looking to inspire their practice of mindfulness and wellbeing. I started working on this project in 2019 and continue to update this website in my spare time. I originally launched this website as a members' only space for my clients to have as a resource to deepen their mindfulness practice but after reflecting on my goals, I decided to open the contents to the pubic so more people can find inspiration and information about mindfulness, healing, and happy living. I write, edit, and publish the content as well as design and build the website myself. I also cover the fees of running this project myself and greatly appreciate any donations and support extended to this heartfelt offering of peace, mindfulness, and love.
